2018 Rules Updates are Now Available

Little League International has announced adjustments to 20 rules for 2018.  Along with the new USABat standard, there's new language regarding the softball pitcher's glove, an updated "field decorum" rule that includes actions on and off the field including the use of social media, and a new rule that addresses web-casting or live-streaming local league games.  Click here for the rules changes.

Now is the time to go to the Little League Data Center to update your 2018 league information and renew your league insurance, if you are part of the AIG Little League group program.

National Criminal Background Checks Are Mandatory

All leagues are required to conduct background checks using First Advantage Screening Solutions, or another program that is comparable to First Advantage in accessing background check records for sex offender registry data and criminal records.

Anyone wishing to volunteer with a local league must submit a volunteer application annually, and all volunteer applications are subject to approval by the local league's Board of Directors.

Investing in that New Baseball Bat?

Before you make that purchase, please remember...

The USA Baseball youth baseball bat standard goes into effect January 1, 2018.  Current Little League-approved baseball bats can be used through December 31, 2017 and current baseball bat regulations are in effect until then.  This includes the moratorium prohibiting the use of all 2 1/4" barrel baseball bats constructed with composite material in the barrel, unless approved.

NOTE: This DOES NOT apply to any divisions of Little League Softball.

  Message from the taxman....

Did you know any non-profit organization that does not file Form 990 for three consecutive years automatically loses its federal tax exemption status?  Did you know any local league enrolled under the Little League Federal Group Tax Exemption and 501(c)(3) status must provide Little League in Williamsport a copy of your league's annual financial report?
