Wednesday Night Worlds - 7/30 beatdown
The cat 4 guys were at it again last night. Beres did the early work to shut down a 2-man break. After that, Nago went to work and things got ugly. Anything more than a solo flyer got snuffed out immediately so everything was mostly together going into the last 3 laps. Until it wasn't...

There was one tristar(?) guy off the front who apparently wronged Jeremy is some profound way. Nago wound up the pace and basically rode most of the field off of his wheel. After half a lap it was Nago, Shields, and some indiana guy that looked fast. Jeremy kept the pace up for the next two laps, so only 2 more guys rejoined the group -but they were done. Nago peeled off with just under one to go, and the Indiana led out the whole lap. Shields stepped off the wheel at the last turn and won going away. Jeremy kept it going caveman style and held on for 6th-ish.

All in, looks like Shields has locked up the belt [again], and Nago has a shot at the sprint title. That and a big handful of wins so far. Now if we can put Shields on leadout duty, things should get really fun.

Wednesday Night Worlds 7/22

The Boyer Express was on track the week of 7-9-08, getting Chris Beres the win, with all of our Cat 4 riders finishing in the money that day. The week of 7-16-08 it was Boyer doing work in the early 3-man break, scooping up points, as a chase pack (in which Chris Beres, Jeremy Nagoshiner and I were sitting) worked hard and shelled riders in order to stay within range. The efforts eventually led to a group of about 7 that included Jeremy and I, and I launched an attack with slightly over a lap to go for the CT victory (albeit barely). Jeremy picked up prize money for the second week in a row with a 5th place finish.

We currently have 3 of the top 6 riders in the Cat 4 overall standings (Barrett is 3rd even after having only done two Cat 4 races), and Jeremy is currently 3rd in the sprint competition. No doubt so far we have the dominant Cat 4 team in the series.
