The Connecticut Bombers' Mission Statement
To provide an organization for the girls and young women of Eastern Connecticut to utilize Fastpitch Softball as a vehicle to learn important life lessons, such as hard work, sacrifice, dedication and teamwork. To help the members of our organization excel not only on the field but off as well. To help our members achieve goals that they set individually by instilling self confidence, social skills, a strong work ethic and a positive outlook in all situations. The organization will promote our student athletes to their local High Schools and to institutions of Higher Learning. We aim to give each and every member of our organization the tools, assistance and guidance they may need to succeed. Our goal is to help mold well-rounded leaders who will be able to utilize the lessons we have taught to the benefit of their communities and to be successful in any field they choose for themselves throughout their lifetimes. Fall Ball Game Rules The following are Game Rules for the Connecticut Bombers' Fall Ball League: 1. All coaches should remember that this is a competeive league with emphasis on instruction, sportsmanship, and fun. Conduct by fans, players or coaches that compromises the integrity and spirit of these games will not be tolerated. 2. All games have a 90 minute time limit or 7 innings, no mercy rule. A game can end in a tie. 3. All players on hand will be in the batting order. (Bat the whole roster.) 4. All players on hand will start in one game of each doubleheader. 5. There will be open substitutions on defense. 6. Pitchers will be limited to three innings per game. 7. Courtesy runners for the catcher with two outs is allowed. Use the batter who made the last out. 8. Rained-out games will not be rescheduled. 9. No time limit on Championship Weekend. 10. Except as noted above, the Offiicial 2000 Amateur Softball Association 16-U Junior Olympic Fastpitch Rules will be used. |
