Welcome to the District 11 Umpires Webpage!!
District 11 Tournament umpires are all volunteers. These volunteers come from the 19 local leagues throughout District 11. Each local league is responsible to assign a (UIC) umpire in charge. This (UIC) is responsible to ensure each tournament umpire has been pre-qualified to umpire at the District 11 tournament level. The (UIC) is responsible to ensure that each Local Little League covers the proper number of games mandated by the number of tournament entries by league.
Our District 11 Staff Umpire Coordinator Larry Gagne and assistant coordinator Larry Gregoire are dedicated and committed to the success of the District 11 umpires association. Larry and Larry are available any time to answer questions or concerns you may have with rules or anything to do with umpiring. Resources are available:

After the Game
Following the game its time to relax and share stories and experiences with your fellow umpires from around the world at the Offical Baseball Rules Message Board. Every day Little League tournament umpires post stories about strange situations, coaches ask questions, and everyone shares their input. You'll really get a lot of entertainment out of it and may learn something too! Plus you can put in your two cents. Also, be sure to check out our District 11 Umpires Only Message Board.

KNOW YOUR RULES!
Tournament Umpires should strive to know all the rules. For example, the pitching eligibility for baseball changes dramatically during tournament play. You should know the rules published in the tournament section in the back of the book. It would be embarrassing for you if a coach invoked the protest rule and had you call Bristol because you didn't know a rule. You should also know the District 11 rules (which Bristol can't help you with); they are posted on this website under Tournament Rules. For example, umpires are to report the score after each game to the Pool Tournament Director.
