2009 Rule Books Now Available
2009 Rule Books
Local Leagues recieve "FREE" Rule Books (two per team) after applying for the 2009 charter. Each league should recieve a supply Kit along with rule books. They will begin shipping soon to leagues that have already sent in the Application for Charter and Insurance.For first time, anyone can now purchase a Little League Rule Book from Little League International. Previously, Little League only sold the books to the local League President or District Administrator when they produced the League or District ID number.

For 2009, the retail price for the three books (Baseball, Softball, Challenger Division) is $7 each.

For leagues to recieve the discounted rate they should contact Little League Baseball Headquarters or East regional Headquarters. Anyone else who wishes to place an order in person, by phone, or through the Little League On-Line Store at http://www.littleleaguestore.net/, may purchase rule books for $7 each.

Statement on non wood bats
Recently, Little League International has received a number of inquiries regarding non-wood bats, particularly in relation to a March 14 vote by the New York City Council to ban the use of non-wood bats in high school baseball games.
