Opening Ceremony honors leagues' 50 years
District One opened its tournament season by honoring the volunteers from Norwalk International, Springdale and Wilton. Each league was celebrating 50 years of service to Little League baseball. Many past and present volunteers from each of these leagues were on hand at Springdale's Drotor Field to celebrate a half-century of Little League baseball. The 11-12 tourney kicked off with a game following the ceremony as Ridgefield National defeated Wilton.
North Stamford's Italian Center wins Stamford TOC
North Stamford defeated Federal to win the Stamford TOC. This marked the first time in 11 years that Springdale did not make it to the final game and only the second league (Stamford American 1999) to win the tourney aside from Springdale.
Wilton wins first ever All-Town TOC!
Congratulations to Wilton for winning the inaugural All-Town TOC. We hope to start a nice tradition with this tourney! Great job by Wilton!
Kiwanis Captures Norwalk TOC
Kiwanis Club defeated Rowayton Hardware 5-1 to win the Norwalk TOC. Congratulations!
