MLB's Official Rules
If you ever wanted to know where our rulebook comes from, check out this site by clicking on the MLB's Official Rules link above. It has the Official Rules of Major League Baseball. Our rulebook is derived almost entirely from MLB rules, with some obvious exceptions that don't apply in our league (that's why it's important that you always read your book!) But the MLB rules go more in depth than the rules in your rulebook, providing approved rulings and interpretations that we follow.
By the way, for those of you who are scorekeepers, check out Rule 10.00. It tells you how to score hits, errors, etc., and also covers how to calculate batting averages and earned-run averages.
