CSN Alumni Win National Championship (click for full story)

Congratulations  Kelly Griego!!

Kelly Griego a Silverado graduate and College of Southern Nevada alumni help the Lubbock Christian University win the NAIA national championship. Griego pitched in both games needed to win the NAIA national championship.

Head Coach Shanon Hays made a move to replace Gonzalez with Kelly Griego and she pitched 5 2/3 scoreless innings to allow the Lady Chaps to get back into the game. Kelly Griego’s solid pitching led to her starting the final game. She received some offensive insurance in the second inning as the Lady Chaps took a 2-0 lead. The Lubbock Christian University softball team did not exist last year;  this was their first season of competition.
