The C.S.A. sponsors a flag football season for players, aged 6 thru 12 as of 9/1/2011, both boy and girl. The flag football season starts on September 25th and ends on November 20th. Most games are held on Sunday mornings at either 9 am or 11 am at the Carmel High School. There may be some Saturday night games held "under the lights".
The cost for the football season is $80 per player and a $20 family registration fee. The $20 family fee covers the family for all of our other sports seasons also. The CSA provides every player with a jersey, a mouthpiece (required), and a belt with flags.
Our flag football program is designed to teach the players some of the fundamentals of football. This is a non-contact sport. The only protective gear worn are mouthpieces and protective athletic cups.
There are evaluations for this league. The evaluations will be held on Sunday, September 25th, starting at 9 am. These evaluations are not try-outs. They are held in an effort to see where each player's skill level is. In doing so, the coaches who draft the players will be in a better position to know the players abilitities. This in turn will assist us in reaching our goal of having all of the teams being somewhat evenly matched.
