FROM THE COOL AND OFTEN DAMP DAYS OF APRIL THROUGH THE HEAVY HEAT OF AUGUST THE ULTIMATE GOAL OF ALL SENIOR LEAGUE PLAYERS IS TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS PRESTIGIOUS TOURNAMENT. THERE ARE NINE REGIONAL TOURNAMENTS AROUND THE WORLD THAT FEED INTO THIS TOURNAMENT. YOU ARE CURRENTLY BROWSING THE SITE OF ONE OF THESE REGIONAL TOURNAMENTS--THE U.S.CENTRAL REGION. AFTER A 3 YEAR ABSENCE, THIS TOURNAMENT CAME BACK TO THE ILLINOIS VALLEY IN 2011.

FUNDRAISER

THE TOURNAMENT COMMITTEE IS SPONSORING A 50/50 RAFFLE AS A MEANS TO RAISE MONEY FOR OPERARTING EXPENSES.  THE DRAWING WILL BE HELD ON AUGUST 6, THE DATE OF THE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME OF THE TOURNAMENT.  THE TICKETS ARE $1.00 FOR ONE OF 6 TICKETS FOR $5.00.  THE WINNER DOES NOT HAVE TO BE PRESENT TO WIN.  AFTER EACH COMMITTEE MEETING THE ACCUMLATIVE TOTAL WILL BE POSTED ON THIS WEBSITE.  aNY QUESTIONS OR DONATIONS, PLEASE CAL MAX LAURITZEN AT 815-879-6331

TOURNAMENT UMPIRE BIOS

The Tournament Committee would like to start previewing this year's umpires by letting peole know the backgrounds of these dedicated volunteers.  There will be a special page entitled Blue Crew Bios outlining their umpiring and other backgrounds.  If you go to "Tournament Albums" you will find some pictures of them.  As you can see, this is just in the beginning stages.




MISSION STATEMENT

The Central Region Senior Baseball Regional Tournament is a not for profit organization with the following goals to be observed by everybody associated with the tournament 1. Show good sportsmanship at all times. 2. Be cooperative with others. 3. Offer a safe and supportive environment for youth. 4. Encounter the thrills of victory and the agony of defeat. 5. Treat everyone equal regardless of gender, creed, or beliefs. 6. Respect those in position of authority. 7. Put forth your best effort. 8. Adhere to the rules and regulations that govern Little League Baseball and 9. Remember it's only a game! Have fun!
