TREY CHRISTOPHERSON

Trey is a second year Peanut from Crookston and is the son of Mike and Michelle Christopherson. He is a third grader at Highland Elementary School and is one of three finalists for this years contest.

Topic: I respect my opponent because:

Trey's essay: I respect my opponent because I am free to play hockey.  It's all about having fun.  Be a good sport and practice good sportsmanship.  I respect my opponent by not trash talking the other team. 

I respect my opponet because I need to play nice, be helpful and treat others the way I want to be treated.  I always do my best, I work hard and by respecting my opponent I get a chance to show my skills, he challenges my skating so I can get better. 

I like hockey because it is a fun sport, I have fun because I work hard. 

I respect my opponent because I don't bully him.  But if you try hard you're the team that did win and always do your best.  I like my opponent because he works hard and he plays fair. 

I respect my opponent because he plays nice.  I like my opponent because he doesn't fool around when the coach is talking.
