Brewers
The Brewers beat Plymouth/New Hope 1, 9-2 on Monday night. Jake Beckman went 5 strong innings and Dom Hafner closed the deal.
Lost to South Tonka 1 6-17 on Thursday. They were a strong hitting team, but it was also one of those nights where every hit ball for Tonka seemed to find a safe place to land or to bounce through.
Beat Golden Valley 2 on Saturday. Jake Lewer and Noah Koss put together strong pitching performances and had solid defense behind them, allowing only 1 run in a must win situation where the Brewers won 3-1.
Our 2-1 record got us out of pool as a 2 seed.
Next game against Hopkins 2 on Field 2 Monday night at 6pm.
Win or lose we'll be playing on Tuesday night as well at 6pm (if we lose) or at 8pm (if we win).

Brewers defeated Hopkins 5-2 in our first game out of pool play. Jake Beckman had his 2nd strong pitching outing of the Raspberry. Going 5 1/3 innings and Zack Collins came in to shut the door for the final 2 outs. Jake Lewer's 2 run double off the fence scored Hafner and Beckman in the bottom of the 3rd and solid defense kept Hopkins off the bases all game long. Next game will be against Robbinsdale on Tuesday at 8pm.

The Brewers were down 1-0 to the Red Sox from Robbinsdale but sent 10
batters to the plate in the 2nd inning on Tuesday. Clutch 2 out, 2 RBI hits
by Dom Hafner and Will Nelson gave the Brewers a lead they wouldn't lose as
their defense was error-free. Dom Hafner pitched 4+ strong innings and Noah
Koss closed things out by turning a line drive come-backer into a double
play to end the game with 2 runners on in the Top of the 6th. Final score
6-1.

The Brewers move on to the Raspberry Championship at 8pm on Wednesday.
They'll be looking for revenge against South Tonka who handed them their
only loss of the tourney during pool play.

Brewers took a 15 -5 win over Tonka in the 4th inning with Dom scoring the winning hit as Josh brought in the 15th run to win the game.  Noah pitched a great game with great fielding and hitting tonight.  Go Brewers!

The Brewers faced a South Tonka team that was undefeated in the Raspberry and had already beat them 17-6 in five innings during pool play. But the Brewers showed up to play tonight! They scored in every inning, including a 7 run first. Noah Koss was awesome on the mound and at the plate. He pitched 4 innings and went 4-4 with 3 runs scored and hammered his first home run of the season on his last at bat. Zack Collins added a solo shot. Austin Herold was 2-3 with 3 RBI's. Austin also played 6 errorless games at shortstop in the tourney. Dom Hafner went 3-3 with 3 RBI, including the walk-off double that scored Josh Pannell to send South Tonka packing in a 4 inning, 15-5 victory for the Brewers. What a way to finish the season! Brewers are the Raspberry Champs!
