Fall Countdown Champions!!!
What can I say but WOW!!!! You girls played lights out and you just continue to amaze me! You amazed me at the fight you had in u against na elite. You could have shut it down and went home but u didn't. And to come out against the hartselle heat and take the fight to them the way you did? It shows that it doesn't matter how big the dog in the fight is but how big the fight is in the dog.You girls are amazing. "chicken butts" dad
Lashing at the Lake
2nd place
Congrats once again to the "98 CRIMSON FLAME" on a well fought 2nd Place finish contest in the Pell City tournament. That was a great performance that you ladies displayed in the championship game playing a good "97 cruisers" team in a 2-1 final. Also a congratulations goes out too the "10u Crimson Flame" team for their 1st place finish. Great job girls! BTW, The "98 Flame team roster consist of 9,10 and a couple of 11 year old playmakers, so be aware of this team as they have plenty of time to grow into a powerhouse. Now, about that "Pitching Warrior", these two words are the words that come to my mind at the present moment too describe a young lady by the name of "MISS McKENZIE "00" (98 CRIMSON FLAME PITCHER). If you people out in the travel softball community ever get a chance to see this young lady display her pitching skills in a game you will walk away impressed, you can count on that my friend. I will be the first to admit, that "yes" there is a select few, and must I say, "11 year old top shelf pitchers out there today, But, myself and others witnessed this young lady deliver one of her "famous fast balls" ( Yes, she does have an arsenal of "junk" pitches too deliver as well) too a great fastball hitter, that sent that ball off of her bat right back too poor-ole Miss Mckenzie's head, and then that ball shot up in the air, and after that real fast happening event Ladies and Gentlemen,as you can imagine there was total silence as everyone close to "00" rushed to her aid. To everyone's amazement, including myself, after she was down for a few minutes she get's back up on her feet and walks off the field too a well deserved standing ovation. When play resumed, her team got together and fought back too a "Victory" over a great number one team that then placed them into the championship game. As everyone in the "Pell City Ballpark" prepared for the championship game between the "97 Cruisers" and the "98 Crimson flame" teams, everyone was concerned about "00" Miss Mckenzie and her well being. But to everyone's amazement the word in the crimson flame dugout was, not only was "00" given the green light to play by the doctor, she wanted to pitch in this " Championship Game". While all of us in the Crimson Flame Family had our fingers crossed and prayers delivered too the "Big Man" above, that "00" looked like her old self and was delivering some "knock-out's" my friend. her performance did not show any signs at all of a young lady that had taken a very fast hit to the head about an hour earlier. I don't know what your opinion about this young ladie's performance may be, but I can tell you after seeing all of this unfold before my own two eyes, it was truly remarkable on her behalf and that is why I will lable her as a "PITCHING WARRIOR" all day long folks. My hat goes off too you Miss Mckenzie. You are a Warrior!!!!!!!!!!
