Dan Anderson (former player)
Years at CRHS: 1997 - 2001
Where are you now: Kansas City, KS
What are you doing now: Pursing a Masters of Business Administration at the University of  Kansas. I'm also engaged to be married in May 2010.
Family info: Mom and Dad are doing well, still live about a block away from the HS and watch all the games on CTN. Eric, also former QB (2001-05) is working around the metro area. Rachael is finishing up her senior year at CRHS and was a captain cheerleader for the FB team.
CRHS football memory: Too many to list here, but beating #2 Stillwater at their homecoming ranks toward the top. The atmosphere for the section championship against Blaine was pretty special too.
Other comments: Man, the years fly by, hard to think it's almost been 10 years. This is a great website, it's fun to hear everyone's great CRHS FB stories.  JY has the program heading the right way, expect great things!

Where are you now: Richfield, MN
What are you doing now: Completed AA in Veterinary technology, and AA in Biomedicine. Currently senior technician at the U of M's large animal hospital. Finishing up BA in Biochemistry at the University of Minnesota. Plans to attend vet school in the fall of 2010. Intends to specialize in equine sports medicine/Bovine medicine/surgery.
Family info: Mother and father still live in CR mn. Brother, sister in law and niece/nephew in Anoka Mn. I reside in Richfield with my dog, and cats, and have a horse near Stillwater. Boyfriend Erik just got out of the Airforce.
CRHS football memory: Final game against Blaine Junior year. Hard loss, but a great game.

Where are you now: Champlin, MN
What are you doing now: Living in Champlin... working at Medtronic (12 years)... Muskie fishing... Birkie training... playing with the boys!
Family info: I married Tamie (Carlson) 10 years ago, and we have 2 sons.  Tyler and Sam are 4 and just about 2 and are so much fun I can't describe it.
CRHS football memory: Jonny, Schuette, Wheels, Marinoff, Neil, all the guys.  It was so much fun to be a Cardinal FB player.  I also remember hitting a running back from Blaine so hard that he threw up right on the field!
Other comments: Go Cardinals... Jonny Y for president.  BOC.  Brothers Forever.

What are you doing now: College student, IT and computer repair and photographer.
Family info: Married and have a son and grand daughter.
CRHS football memory: I was a member of the state high school champions in the 1983-1984 season.

What are you doing now: Working at Federal Cartridge in Anoka. 15 years
Family info: Married for 12 years...No kids. One dog.
CRHS football memory: Getting sacked about 10 times in the first half of a JV game against Blaine. Just wasn't quick enough!! :)
Other comments: It's been about 20 years, but it is great to see the Cardinals playing better!!!

Where are you now:  Minneapolis, Minn
What are you doing now: Been all over the past 3 years, UW-Stout, St. Cloud, and now I'm finishing up at Metro State University in Criminal Justice.
Family info: Mom, Kim lives in CR. Dad, Ernie lives in Andover. I have 3 sisters, Brooke graduated CRHS in '99, she now lives in Wyoming where she is a psychologist. Beth, graduated CRHS in '02 she is graduating this year from St. Cloud State going off to get her masters. Ali graduated in '08, attends Avada.
CRHS football memory: Last game of my high school career at Blaine. Sitting on the bus ride home remembering the 4 years in red and white.

Phil Ghizoni (former player)
Years at CRHS: 2000 - 2004
What are you doing now: Working in the medical device industry, coaching the CR 8th grade football team, playing amateur baseball for the CR Redbirds in the Summer, being a good dad & soon-to-be hubby (husband).
Family info: Preston 2002 - 2006 is playing baseball for NDSU. Paul 1995 - 1999 is working at Wells Fargo. My daughter Ella is 3 1/2 years old and she already hits like a Safety and catches like a boy...watch out! Sarah Beckermann and I are engaged and soon to get married sometime in 2009.
CRHS football memory: Too many; 1st play butterflies, Saturday Morning Soreness, wearing the Red & White, summer weight lifting, eating Pizza between Two-a-days with Eric Anderson, John Engstrom & Tony Hill, and all the preparation and anticipation that goes into fall Friday nights.
Other comments: I live in Blaine (I know what you're thinking) with Sarah and Ella, I wish to continue to coach and be involved at some level, will continue to volunteer and plan to participate in Booster club meetings in the future, etc.

Where are you now: CRHS
What are you doing now: I have the best coaching job in the world. The CR community, student body, and youth programs are great. Our booster club and managers work tirelessly so our coaches can coach. CR kids are tough and extremely receptive to discipline and accountability...they work hard!
Family info: Wife---Amber, Son #1---Jaxon Taylor Young, Son #2---Konnor Jonathan Young, Dog---Q.B. Sneak Young
CRHS football memory: Player---Beating Forest Lake my Jr. year...don't remember much because I got a concussion in the 1st half. Mark Groebner and Jim Gominski had crazy games.  Coach---beating then #2 Stillwater for their homecoming, beating Anoka for the Pumpkin Bowl.
Other comments: I'm extremely lucky that I haven't really had to grow up much...get to coach and hang around kids most of the day, they keep me young.

CRHS football memory: Many, one of our classmates running away from upperclassmen during the school song singing our soph year, Selma-Lou recovering a fb vs Hill Murray, Donny K kicking a kickoff through the uprights vs Roseville, & I wish I could remember our playoff game vs Park Center in 90, but I was concussed, so I don't remember. All the guys I played with and coaches who worked with us. The experiences I had have lead me to where I am at in my life:
Other comments: I still dislike anyone from Blaine or Anoka and ceremoniously hawk-a-lugi out the window when entering either place.

Family info: I have been married to Julia for 3 years now and we have 2 kids Brooklyn and Carter.

CRHS football memory: 3) Being so exhausted after edging out Maple Grove that I could barely walk off the field. 2) Offseason strength and conditioning. 1) Just having an opportunity to play football, period.

What are you doing now: I'm currently playing football for CSS and working hard in my classes
Family info: Mom Jennifer and Dad Darrell still live in CR and go to all the games they can. Brother Josh and sister-in-law Anne live in Duluth and recently gave birth to a baby girl named Signe Gorham on 9-6-08
CRHS football memory: Playing and lifting in the summer with all my buddies everyday and having a good time doing it, Being a founding father of the B.O.C., Beating Blaine on Homecoming (it was my dream to beat Blaine on Homecoming ever since I was in 5th Grade!), Beating Anoka in the Pumpkin Bowl of course, and going undefeated on JV my senior season. SMSS '07!!!
Other comments: I'll always bleed Cardinal Red, Go Cardinals!

Where are you now: Fargo, North Dakota
What are you doing now: I am currently in my fourth year at North Dakota State University majoring in Criminal Justice. I'm also a member of the Baseball team.
Family info: My family still lives in Coon Rapids and supports the Football team. My older sister Katie CR grad in 2003, graduated from ST. Cloud in May of 2008. My younger sister Kristine, CR grad in 2006, currently attends ST. Thomas and plays Hockey.
CRHS football memory: I will always remember the Friday nights. Most of all, I will remember work outs, practices, and playing with my buddies.... That's what it's all about.
Other comments: Thanks to all of the coaches who made my four years of Cardinal football a time I will never forget...Good luck in years to come!!

Family info: Married for 10 years 4 wonderful kids. Nicole 11, Nate 10 Daniel 6, and Dalton 3.
CRHS football memory: I had alot of good memories, but 1 that sticks out, playoff game against Park Center and Smitty blocking the extra point to advance.
Other comments: Still bleed Cardinal Red....But kids bleed Bluejacket Blue...

What are you doing now: I work at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids, and I also coach football at Anoka!
Family info: I am married to my wife Jennifer, I have no kids but we have three dogs.
CRHS football memory: I miss my teammates and playing for coach Ron Scott.  It was a great experience.
Other comments: Coaching at Anoka I have been able to coach with Ron Scott and Jim Robert. What a great experience.

CRHS football memory: I have so many great memories playing football at CRHS. The Blaine rivalry was alot of fun although we could not get past them during my time. They were tough back then.

What are you doing now: I am the President of ID Insight - an Identity Theft Detection Solutions company - located in Northfield, MN.
Family Info: I married Kelly Burchett who I met while attending St. Olaf College. We have one daughter - Abby - Age 5.
CRHS football memory: Playing under the bleachers from the ages of 5 to 10 during home games.  15,000 fans at every Blaine or Anoka game.  Winning Prep Bowl II when we didn't win one game as 7th graders.
