CAA Code of Conduct
A quick update regarding CAA and County Policy for Coaches / Volunteers and Parents.

In order for us to use the county facilities for all of our sports we are required to have background checks performed and passed by every volunteer who will be working with the kids, regardless of their role.

If you are going to be on the field, court, dugout, etc. you must have completed a background check and you must have a coaching badge visible.

This requirement has been communicated to all Sports Directors. To date we have created badges for over 750 volunteers who have passed their background checks.

This policy is not optional and will be enforced by both CAA Directors, and County Employees.

If a Board Member or County employee identifies anyone on a field / court /etc with the kids who does not have a badge, they will be asked to provide it, if they cannot do so they will be asked to leave the practice or game field. In some cases this will mean that a practice or game has to be cancelled. Coaches / Volunteers who fail to comply with this policy in the end are responsible for any cancellations which may occur related to their teams. Any person who does not cooperate regarding this policy is subject to disciplinary action with CAA and the County.

Please understand that this policy is in-place to protect our kids.

On another note, attached is our policy regarding coaches and parent codes of conduct. Please review. We have recently had a number of issues with coaches and spectators who have not acted appropriately at games and practices.

It is our objective to provide a positive and safe experience for our kids, part of doing that is providing positive role models as coaches and parents, and also following the policies and procedures from the county and our organization.

Thanks
