Directions to Warinanco Park
From Rt. 95/NJ Turnpike (exit numbers get lower as you travel south):
Take Rt. 95 to the NJ Turnpike exit 13 in Elizabeth, NJ. Follow signs for Rt. 439 West.
When you come to the traffic light at the very end of the exit ramp, you'll see an Exxon gas station across the street on your left, and an Amoco gas station across from you on your right. Turn left here (pass the Exxon on your right) and pass back over the Turnpike, passing entrance ramps for Rt. 278 and the Turnpike and a Budget Motel. You will now be on Brunswick Ave., Linden, NJ. Continue south on Brunswick Ave. toward the Tosco Oil Refinery entrance where the road curves sharply to the right and becomes Park Ave. Take Park Ave. across Rts. 1&9 (a.k.a. Edgar Road, landmarks here are Exxon and Tiger Mart gas station across from White Castle Hamburgers). Continue west on Park Ave. to the end where it runs into Warinanco Park. Warinanco Park Drive is one-way. Circle around the park to the skating rink and park in the lot across from the rink. Follow the walkway from the lot into the park's field #8.
From the Garden State Parkway (exit numbers get lower as you travel south):
Take the Parkway South to exit 137 (Roselle Park, Cranford). At the end of the ramp, turn left onto Rt. 28 East (Westfield Ave.). At approximately the 6th traffic light, you will see the Roselle Park Animal Hospital. Turn right here onto Linden Rd. Follow Linden Rd. all the way into Warinanco Park. The Park Drive is one-way so go right and park across from the skating rink. Follow the path from the parking lot to field #8.
From Points West - Rts 22, 78 or 80:
Each of these highways intersects with the Garden State Parkway South. Take the Parkway to Exit 137 (Roselle Park, Cranford). Follow above directions.
From Routes 1 & 9:
North -
Turn left at Park Ave. (landmarks are Exxon Tiger Mart gas station and White Castle Hamburgers on the Linden/Elizabeth city line). Turn left onto Park Ave., and follow into Warinanco Park. Continue around the park to the skating rink. Park in the lot across from the rink, follow path toward ballfields.
South -
After passing through the Bayway Circle in Elizabeth, look for the White Castle Hamburgers and the Exxon Gas station, and turn right on to Park Ave. Take Park Ave. into Warinanco Park, circle around and park in the lot across from the skating rink. Follow the path into the park toward the ballfields.
