Clifton Park Youth Hockey Association: Presidents Message
July message
School is out and summer is officially underway!!! Enjoy it while we can, only 8 weeks left!!
Thank you to all who helped out and joined in the march for the 4th of July parade!! Had our biggest showing yet and everyone had a great time. Thank you all for the support.
Not much news at this point other than numbers started to wrap up. Still some moving parts, but we should have all confirmed within the next 2 weeks.
Details will be coming out shortly regarding try-out process, dates, times, etc. so keep an eye on the web site and emails.
Will be looking for some rink clean up help in September around the time frames of the try-outs. If you can chip in, we'll be sending more out closer to the time with specifics.
Short and Sweet for now!!! Enjoy your summer, more to come so keep your eyes and ears open!!!
Thanks as always for your support.

June message
Hey hockey fans!!! The NHL finals are wrapping up and the CPYHA Season is getting fired up!!!
Registration is well underway and numbers are looking very strong for the upcoming season. Just a few things to call out as of now:
1) Please watch the web site and emails closely for "Dates to Watch" over the next few months. Between conditioning dates, try-out dates, coaching submissions, coaching classes, and more, there will be many things happening to keep aware of.
2) All divisions (SQ-MIDG) are filling up fast. There will be postings soon for wait lists on all fronts to determine the need for 4th teams. Current plans are looking like 3 teams at each level but will be formalized in July based on waitlist numbers and more importantly, coaching candidates.
3) To the note above (2), anyone with interest in coaching positions at the B and C levels, mostly C, need to get in touch with Rusty Irving ASAP. We very much would like to make these decisions in advance of the tryout process so teams are off to a good start.
4) Remember to check for coaching classes to be sure you have the proper level of certification for the the division you wish to be involved with.
5) All coaches, head or assistant need to be registered with USAHockey as well. If you know you will be involved, regardless of level, please register in advance so we can be prepared for formal roster creation in October.
6) 4th of July Parade will be happening again this year. Check the web site for details. Our Mite and Mini-Mite groups are leading the charge. Please come out to march with the gang if you are available.
Thank you all for the continued support. Again, please keep an eye on the web site and emails for communications. Check in with your appropriate division director should you have any questions.
