Cheerleading - Varsity

Our Cheerleading team, the Cougars, has a competitive team for girls in seventh and eighth grades. The season begins in August and runs through March.

The varsity level is designed for the skilled athlete in seventh and eighth grades; therefore, a student must qualify for this team. Participants may not have reached their l5th birthday before January 1 of the current school year. Eligibility for this level of play is determined by a general tryout(s) for each grade level or grouping (e.g. 7th and 8th grades). This tryout(s) is conducted by the coach and assistant coaches. Student performance is rated and then is evaluated by the coach and assistant coaches. From this data, the varsity team members are selected. Corpus Christi varsity teams then compete with other region 20 varsity teams.
