In the midst of almost 200 athletes, Alma found a way to manuever herself into a safe position up front.

Gracefully gliding downhill became Alma's speciality in the postseason! She begins to leave the competition behind here almost 4 minutes into the race!

Alma held Folsom's Natasha LaBeaud in check as she accelerates up the hill right past the mile mark!

By the 2.25 mile mark, Alma had completely broken the competition and was all by herself! She was "In The Zone"

Alma is rolling on all cylinders here with about 100 meters to go!

Alma finished with nobody in sight! She created history as her 17:33 was the fastest ever in Riverside County History and 1 minute faster than what she ran in 2003 on the same course!

One of the most amazing sights was how energized Alma was after the race! You would have never known that she just ran the best race of any girl in the entire state!
