COLLEGE SIGNINGS

San Clemente’s senior class will send 22 student/athletes to Division I collegiate ranks next fall, a significant achievement for any school and one that speaks volumes about the level of talent in San Clemente. “We are so proud of this year’s group of senior athletes; from those that have signed Letters of Intent to the hard working, and dedicated student/athletes that have remained out of the media’s attention,” said athletic director Jon Hamro.

Here’s a breakdown by sport:

Softball: Chelsea Luckey (Hawaii Pacific), Tiffany Corder (UC Santa Barbara).

Football: Dylan Reda (Ohio), Evan Jacobsen (New Mexico), Duke Delancelotti (Cal Poly SLO), Graham Tenney (Cornell).

Girls Soccer: Zoe Jeffers (UC Santa Clara), Kaylin Mellem (Texas Christian), Barrett Bestard (UC San Francisco), Kristine Atkinson (Idaho), Alexis Mahoney (Southern Oregon), Camille Berg (Long Beach State), Kelsey Wilson (Loyola Marymount).

Girls Water Polo: Carly Ternasky (UC Davis).

Girls Cross Country/Track: Alex Dunne (Stanford).

Boys Volleyball: Ian Castellana (UC Irvine), Grayson Overman (Ohio State), Cooper Neser (BYU).

Girls Volleyball: Erin Yoder (USC), Bailey Wendzel (Brown).

Diving: Kelsey Heiken (UC Berkeley). Girls Basketball: Jacqui Marshall (U San Diego)
