ANGELS ALUMNI LESLEY ROGERS & ASU WINS 2008 NCAA DIV I NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP
|
Congratulations to Lesley Rogers, class of 2007 Corona Angels alumni and her college team, Arizona State University on winning the 2008 NCAA Division I Softball National Championship.
Lesley made up for lost at bats at ASA Hall of Fame Stadium in Oklahoma City by going 6 for 16 in the Women's College World Series (WCWS).... Lost at bats because Lesley was injured just before the 2007 18 Gold National Championships with the Corona Angels and was sidelined for the length of the tournament.
The success of ASU in 2008 provided just the opportunity for Lesley to return to Hall of Fame Stadium and contribute big for her new team. For her efforts (4th best batting avg in the tournament), Lesley was named to the WCWS All-Tournament Team.
Congratulations to all the Corona Angels alumni who punched a ticket to the 2008 WCWS to include Stacey Nelson, Kim Waleszonia, & Shaunice Harris (all of Florida).
