City of Poughkeepsie Pop Warner: Welcome

     Welcome all to the 2009 City of Poughkeepsie Pop Warner Football. It is almost that time of year again. The City of Poughkeepsie Pop Warner is looking for football players and cheerleaders. Registration is open to all City of Poughkeepsie residents boys and girls from ages 5 to 15 years old.                     
     This website is for our City of Poughkeepsie Pop Warner community.  We hope that this site will gear you for the 2009 season.  There will be game schedules, practices, and directions to each game for all of our teams.  You will also find helpful links to other web sites.  The other web sites have online games, shopping, and entertainment.We will be doing our best to keep you informed about our Pioneers 2009 football season.

Pop Warner was founded in 1929, continues to grow and serves as the only youth football, cheerleading and dance organization that requires its participants to maintain acedemic standards in order to particiate. Pop Warner's commitment to academics is what separates the program from other youth sports around the world.

As the only national youth sports organization that requires scholastic aptitude to participate, Pop Warner is committed to developing America's young people
on the field and off. Each year Pop Warner continues to expand its efforts in team and activity particpation, as well as visibility and outreach in the community.

Since 1929, the Pop Warner Programs Philosophy has been that athletics and scholastics go hand and hand. At every level, Pop Warner programs seek to develop well-rounded young men and women who learn not only the fundamentals of football, cheerleading, and dance but also the importance of education in an atmosphere conducive to developing sound character while having a good time.

Registration for the 2012 season has begun!! Every Thursday we will be holding registration at Poughkeepsie Middle School 6pm - 8pm in the main lobby during the elementary school basketball games. (if the basketball games are cancelled we will not hold registration). Last year we had teams fill up fast so register early to make sure you get a spot!!

CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR PEE WEE TEAM, HEAD COACH, NORMAN MOORE & HIS COACHING STAFF FOR ADVANCING TO THE EMPIRE GAMES AND MAKING IT TO THE FINAL ROUND!!!!
