Taking advantage of their home-field, the Tigers shut out the Eagles 6-0 in a Region 6-AA game. “Darlington has a great team,” said Randy Vice, Coosa’s coach. “I thought our keepers did the best they could. I was proud of the way our team played and I was impressed with Darlington.” Darlington got on a roll fairly early and never slowed down. Stephen Whatley kicked in Darlington’s first goal on an assist from Inigo Osborne at the 20:30 mark. Bucky Harris’ goal with 11:20 to play in the half gave the Tigers a 2-0 advantage, which they held until the second period.
