Conway Tiger Football: *: *Tiger History

History: In 1970 Conway High School and Whittemore High School (the city's African-American high school) merged following desegregation. Conway High's colors had been green and orange, while Whittemore's were purple and gold. The two schools elected to make the new colors of present-day Conway School green and gold, and also keep the"Tiger" as the schools mascot(Whittemore's teams were known as the"Bulldogs).
