TOURNAMENT RULES
Home team will be determined with umpires at home plate prior to start of game. Home team will keep official scorebook. The score should be verified between the two teams at regular intervals. Each team must turn in an official lineup card to the plate umpire and a copy of their starting lineup including substitutes to the opposing team.
No infield practice between games. Fences will be at 200ft and all warm-ups prior to your game will be on your field behind these fences ( outfield area ). Please use the warm-up areas where your game will be played - there should be no more than the two opposing teams using this area prior to their game.
Mercy rule - Eight runs after five innings.
International tie breaker will be used for ALL CHAMPIONSHIP AND CONSOLATION BRACKET GAMES ONLY that are tied at the end of the seventh inning or the end of any inning once the time limit has expired. NO TIE BREAKER FOR POOL GAMES.
TIME LIMIT
Pool play and Bracket play
First inning each team will be allowed three (3) warm-up pitches and one throw down by catcher - infield and outfield warm-up allowed in this first inning only. ALL INNINGS AFTER THE FIRST WILL BE ONE (1) WARM-UP PITCH AND ONE THROW DOWN BY CATCHER - NO INFIELD OR OUTFIELD WARM-UPS. Make sure your leadoff batter is prepared to step in box after pitcher's warm-up pitch. We will be looking to keep games on time - PLEASE MAKE YOUR PLAYERS AWARE OF THIS RULE AND HAVE THEM HUSTLE ON AND OFF THE FIELD.
Play will be resuming quickly - this will allow a better opportunity for teams playing their seven innings.
POOL GAMES
No inning may start more than one hour and fifteen minutes after the game begins - even if you have not reached the 5th inning.
NO TIE BREAKER FOR POOL GAMES - GAME WILL END AS A TIED GAME.
BRACKET PLAY
No inning may start more than one hour and thirty minutes after the game begins.
- Must be at least 5 innings -
All tied games will use international tie breaker.
Mercy rule will be in effect for all tournament games.
However the time limit will be waived for all championship games scheduled for end of play on Sunday afternoon.
EACH COACH WILL BE RESPONSIBLE TO HAVE THEIR TEAMS PREPARED TO RESUME PLAY QUICKLY FROM DEFENSE TO OFFENSE.
TOURNAMENT ADVANCEMENT
Each age group will be broken into pools of four teams.
Teams (12, 14, 16, 18) will be seeded for championship bracket play based on their pool play record.
Example : Pool A winner will become A1 on bracket board - second place
Pool A will become A2 on brackets - third place Pool A will become A3 on brackets - fourth place Pool A will become A4 on brackets.
Game number is listed on brackets - please cross check with master chart for times and field location.
AGE DIVISIONS - 12, 14, 16 ..... Winners of first game of Championship Bracket will continue along in that bracket play. Loser of this first game will enter the Consolation Bracket. After your first bracket game (win or lose) the brackets will become a one game knock-out.
AGE DIVISION - 18 ..... All teams will play in a double elimination bracket.
TIE BREAKERS TO DETERMINE POOL PLAY FINISH
1. Head to head
2. Lowest total of runs allowed in pool games
3. Lowest total of runs allowed between tied teams
4. Blind draw
SPORTSMANSHIP DURING TOURNAMENT WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED
All players and coaches are expected to behave in a professional manner.
No inappropriate behavior will be tolerated.
All games are to be played in a respectful manner towards players, coaches, fans and umpires.
Umpire-in-chief will have final authority on all matters regarding a game dispute.
ON SITE TEAM REGISTRATION
All teams are to register at the main tent
one hour prior to your first pool game.
At this registration you will receive a coaches packet that will include your three (3) coaches passes & other valuable information concerning tournament procedures.
Be aware that coaches will be allowed to enter complex without passes for their first game only.
Thereafter, you must show your pass to enter free of charge.. carry at all times or you will be ask to pay.
Please turn in at registration a copy of your .
Team Insurance
We have trainer on site for the tournament. She will be located at the main tent for the following hours.
Thursday ..... 6:00pm - 9:00pm
Friday and Saturday .... 8:00am - 8:00pm
Sunday ..... 8:00am - 4:00pm
Our tournament bracket boards at the main tent will be posted with official game scores and results.
Be sure to check the bracket boards for where you finish in your pool and where you advance into bracket play.
In case of rain ... tournament director may have to adjust schedule... this procedure
will not be debatable.
At registration you will receive a rain number.
