Columbus Police Football: Welcome

In the early nineties a few Columbus Police Officers and Franklin County Deputies played a charity football game in late November called the "Turkey Bowl". The money raised went to the families of police officers who were killed in the line of duty.
Then In 2001 a new charity called "Get Behind The Badge" was formed after Angela McDowell lost her husband Terry McDowell in the line of duty serving a "routine" traffic warrant. She wanted to help both the families of police officers, and firefighters who were injured or killed in the line of duty, and honor those who served on 9-11-01.
Bulldogs are just not CPD officers we have had many players from other agencies. Any police officer or any public safety employee is welcome to play for our team.
Bulldogs must attend practice, get sponsors, and raise money for our charity. We are always looking for more help.
