Bulldogs Football: Welcome
In the early nineties a few Columbus Police Officers and Franklin County Deputies played a charity football game in late November called the "Turkey Bowl". The money raised went to the families of police officers who were killed in the line of duty.
In 2001 a new charity "Get Behind The Badge" was formed after Angela McDowell lost her husband Terry McDowell in the line of duty. She wanted to help both the families of police officers, and firefighters who were injured or killed in the line of duty, and honor those who served on 9-11-01.
Interested players need to be in public service. They are our police officers, part time officers, reserve officers, firefighters, volunteer firefighters, EMTs, paramedics, probation officers, parole officers, corrections officers, dispatchers, and active duty or reserve military.
Participants must attend practice, get sponsors, and raise money for our charity. We are always looking for more help.
"Get Behind The Badge" is a registered 501(c)3 charity

The Bulldogs defeated the Enforcers again in the 16th edition of the Turkey Bowl. It was a cold night but many brave fans showed their support at Westerville Central HS. Thanks to you for braving the cold!
