Post 9174, The Lackland Post, was founded by Woodrow Willis and chartered on February 10, 1961 with 75 members. The Post has been physically located in south San Antonio in the Lackland Air Force Base vicinity since being chartered. The Post moved into it's current facilities in March 1972. Our current membership hovers around 500. The Ladies Auxiliary was chartered on September 19, 1969 with 23 members and continues to be a strong partner to our Post. We are a post involved with many activities and take great pride in our post, our members and the future of our country as well as maintaining the entitlements earned by the veterans who make up our Post membership.
