Colorado Outlaws would like to proudly welcome Dave Atencio, DRHS Softball Varsity Head Coach to the coaching staff: With the win 8/22/09 the Dakota Ridge Softball program and Coach Dave has reached the 200 win milestone with an overall record of 200 wins with only 87 losses. A great accomplishment for this programs in only 13+ seasons.

The Softball Prayer
Lord, Give me the strength to hit the ball and if I do, don't let me fall. Help me to pick the pitch that's right and let me knock it out of sight. Then let me run like the wind, but please, don't let me miss 1st base. Then on to 2nd, stay with me Lord, for this one out, we can't afford. Then let me zoom, like a flying bird, right down the line and on to third. Then let me slide, with feet out thrust, across the plate in swishing dust.

Oh my goodness! You're cooking too many at once. TOO MANY!
Turn them! TURN THEM NOW!
We need more butter! Oh my! WHERE are we going to get MORE BUTTER?
They're going to STICK! Careful! … CAREFUL! I said be CAREFUL!
You NEVER listen to me when you're cooking! NEVER!
Turn them! Hurry up! Are you CRAZY? Have you LOST your mind?
Don't forget to salt them. You know you always forget to salt them. Use the salt. USE THE SALT! THE SALT!"
The mother stared at her. "What's wrong with you? You think I don't know how to scramble a couple of eggs?
The daughter calmly replied, "I just wanted to show you what it feels like when I'm trying to play softball."
