Tuesday, March 31 2009 Eagles Baseball Camp 2009 Eagles Baseball Camp June 22 - 25, 2009 (Rain Date: June 26th) 9:00AM – 3:00PM Each Day CAMP PROGRAM: The purpose of the camp is to assist young people in improving their baseball skills and developing proper playing habits. The companionship of other players and the learning of sportsmanship and related athletic values are additional benefits.The camp staff is committed to individualized instruction in basic skills such as: hitting, bunting, base running, sliding, throwing, fielding, cut-offs, relays, pitching and much more. Each daily session will include drills to help players correct faults and/or to perfect the skills they are developing, as well as competitive game situations to develop on the field experience. AGES: Open to all boys and girls ages 7-18 years old COST: $96.00 (Pre-registered and received by June 1st) $100.00 (If registering after June 1st) Checks made payable to Colonial Forge High School Baseball Handout: 2009 Eagles Baseball Camp Tuesday, January 13 2009 Eagles Baseball Clinics The Colonial Forge High School Baseball Team will be holding their annual seventh annual Hitting Clinic on Saturday, March 21st from 9:00AM-12:00PM and their first annual Pitcher/Catcher Clinic on Saturday, March 28th from 9:00AM-12:00PM at Colonial Forge High School. The Clinics are sponsored by the Eagles Diamond Club Baseball Boosters and all proceeds benefit the Colonial Forge High School Baseball Program. Clinics are open to all boys and girls ages 7-18 years of age. The clinic information is listed below. Eagles Diamond Club Baseball Boosters 2009 Eagles Baseball Clinics Hitting Clinic Saturday, March 21st9:00Am – 12:00PMCost: $25.00 (includes T-shirt) HITTING CLINIC: The purpose of the camp is to assist young people in improving their hitting skills and developing proper training habits. The companionship of other players and the learning of sportsmanship and related athletic values are additional benefits. Emphasis will be placed on the fundamentals of hitting, which includes the physical and mental approach that the hitter must take with them into the batter’s box, as well as much more. Session will include drills to help players’ correct faults or to perfect the hitting skills they are developing. Pitcher/Catcher Clinic Saturday, March 28th 9:00AM – 12:00PMCost: $25.00 (includes T-shirt) PITCHER/CATCHER CLINIC: Instruction and drill sequences designed to build consistent pitching mechanics that will make your pitches more effective. Topics include: velocity/movement/location; bullpen and long toss programs; arm care and injury-prevention techniques. Catching session will cover proper: signal stance, receiving stance/techniques, framing, throwing, blocking, and bunt plays. Drinks and other snacks will be on sale at the concession stand. ITEMS TO BRING: Baseball Cleats Tennis Shoes Athletic SocksBaseball Pants/Sweat Pants Baseball Glove and/or Catcher’s Mitt Athletic Supporter/Protective Cup Batting Gloves Bat (if possible) Batting Helmet (if possible) CLINIC RULES: Campers will not be permitted to leave the school grounds during the session, unless released to a parent/guardian and signed out with the camp director. Use of tobacco products, illegal drugs and/or alcohol on school property is strictly prohibited and will result in dismissal from camp without a refund of the camp registration fee.
