 North Gwinnett 2, Collins Hill 1

 SUWANEE - The game was scoreless
 for 7 innings but North Gwinnett defeated
 Collins Hill 2-1 in the 8th on Thursday.

 Melissa Hinesley was 3-for-3 with two
 doubles and Nicole Heusel was 1-for-2
 with a single and RBI for the Eagles.

 Lauren Reader pitched all eight innings
 and gave up only three hits, two runs
 and no earned runs.

 The Eagles are 17-11.


 


Wednesday, October 1
The Eagles outlast Northview for 11 innings and Win 1-0!
DULUTH - Christina Parham drove in courtesy runner Cristi Wall to give Collins Hill a 1-0 win over Northview
in 11 innings in the first round of the Region 7-AAAAA tournament. Lauren Reader was the winning pitcher,
throwing eight innings in relief. Reader (7-4) allowed three hits and struck out two. The Eagles are 17-10.

Collins Hill 5, Peachtree Ridge 4

SUWANEE - Collins Hill's SENIOR NIGHT game proved to be the most exciting game of the season
when the Eagles pulled out a 5-4 win over arch rival Peachtree Ridge on Thursday.
Collins Hill was
down 4-0 going into the sixth inning. They scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh to defeat
Peachtree Ridge. Collins Hill is 5-4 in region and 16-10 overall.  WAY TO GO EAGLES!

Eagles fall to Brookwood
Brookwood 6, Collins Hill 3

SNELLVILLE - The Eagles fell to Brookwood 6-3 after Brookwood’s bats came alive to score 4 runs in the bottom of the 
6th inning. Trailing 2–0 after the first inning, the Eagles managed to take the lead 3-2 and hold on until the 6th inning
when Brookwood’s bats came alive.  Collins Hill (15-10) was led by Randi Rea (1-for-3, double, RBI), Alexa Lewis
(1-for-3, triple, run) and Melissa Hinesley (1-for-3, two RBIs, double). The Eagles will finish the regular season at home tonight.

Eagles move up in the Region
Collins Hill 3, Duluth 2

SUWANEE - Collins Hill snuck past Duluth on Tuesday with a 3-2 win in Region 7-AAAAA action.
Melissa Hinesley provided the eventual game-winning RBI with a successful squeeze in the sixth
while Alexa Lewis was 2-for-3 with a triple, RBI and run. Nicole Heusel added a pinch-hit RBI for the
Eagles (15-9, 4-4) while Randi Rea had a double and a run. Kayla Floor (5-2) pitched seven innings
for the win, striking out eight with three hits and two unearned runs.

The Eagles face tough pitching.
Eagles Landing 4, Collins Hill 0

SUWANEE - The Eagles were blanked by ELCA 4-0 on Monday night. ELCA took a
1-0 lead in the 1st inning. The Eagles bats were silent for most of the game as ELCA
allowed only 2 baserunners including a bunt single by Christina Parham.
The Eagles are 14-8 (3-4 in the region) and host Duluth tonight.

Saturday, September 20
Saturday was a Good Day!
LAWRENCEVILLE - Collins Hill won its division in the Brookwood Invitational on Saturday by defeating
Central Gwinnett 6-2, Providence 5-0 and Ringgold 6-5

Kacey Hawkshead threw four innings against Central and gave up a run on two hits and struck out five batters for Collins Hill.

Michelle Johnson went 2-for-4 with a
run and Briana Cason was 2-for-4 with
an RBI and a run. Nicole Heusel was
1-for-3 with an RBI.

In the second game, Kayla Floor
pitched a complete game shutout
against Providence, and gave up three
hits and struck out six.

Christina Parham was 3-for-4 with two runs and an RBI and Danielle Almeida was 2-for-4 with two doubles, a run and an RBI.

Floor (4-2) got her second win on the day, but in relief as Collins Hills beat Ringgold 6-5 in nine innings. Parham was 3-for-4 with a run and Randi Rea
went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run. Sammy Lenahan was 3-for-4 with an RBI and Lauren Reader was 2-for-2 with two runs.
Almeida went 2-for-3 with two doubles, three runs and an RBI for the Eagles (14-8).

Whitewater wins with a walk-off homerun

LILBURN - Whitewater slipped past Collins Hill 3-2 on Friday. Christina Parham was 2-for-3 with a double, a run and
an RBI. Randi Rea went 1-for-3 with an RBI double. Danielle Almeida went 1-for-2 with a double and a run, while
Brianna Cason was 1-for-2 for the night. The Eagles are 11-8.

LILBURN - The Eagles dropped a close game to Parkview 1-0 in the Brookwood Tournament.  Lauren Reader pitched well, but the Eagles
were not able to get a run across.  The Eagles are 11-7 on the season and continue at the Brookwood Tournament tonight.

 CUMMING - Kayla Floor allowed just four
 hits with eight strikeouts on Tuesday in
 leading Collins Hill to a 4-0 shutout over
 South Forsyth. The win improved Floor to 2-1.

 Michelle Johnson had a double and two RBIs
 to lead the offense while Karlie Gillam had two
 doubles and scored twice.

 Randi Rea also finished 2-for-3 with an RBI 
 while Christina Parham was 2-for-4 with a double.

 The Eagles are 11-5 and 3-4 in region play.

The Eagles fell 4-2 to Mill Creek in a hard fought game. After spotting the Hawks 4 runs in the top of the first,

SUWANEE - Lauren Reader pitched a strong game, but it wasn't enough as Northview shut out Collins Hill 1-0 on Thursday.
Reader (5-1) threw a complete game and gave up six hits, one unearned run and struck out four for the Eagles.

Eagles Win their 1st Region Game
Collins Hill 10, Chattahoochee 1

ALPHARETTA - Collins Hill's offense exploded as the Eagles won their first region game of the season 10-1 over Chattahoochee. 

Lauren Reader (4-0) got the win on the mound for the Eagles, pitching three innings and giving up one hit and no earned runs.
Kayla Floor threw in relief for Collins Hill, striking out three and giving up no hits and no runs in two innings.

Eagles take 2nd in the Platinum Bracket
SUWANEE - Collins Hill placed second in the Platinum Bracket in the Home America Mortgage Invitational.
Collins Hill beat East Jackson 7-1 and Warner Robins 6-2, but fell to Harrison 5-2 on Saturday.
Collins Hill lost its first game of the year to Harrison 5-2. Danielle Almeida was 2-for-3 with a run
and Christina Parham was 1-for-3 with an RBI and a stolen base. The Eagles are 7-1.

In the second game, Collins Hill beat Warner Robins 6-2. Lauren Reader (3-0) pitched a complete
game and gave up five hits, an earned run and struck out six for the Eagles.  Nicole Heusel was
1-for-2 with an RBI and Reader was 1-for-1 with two RBIs for Collins Hill.

In the first game of the day Christina Parham (2-0) threw a complete game and gave up three hits,
a run and struck out four as Collins Hill took a 7-1 win against East Jackson on Saturday.
Karlie Gillam was 3-for-4 with a run and an RBI and Nicole Heusel was 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run.
Danielle Almeida was 2-for-3 with an RBI for the Eagles.

SUWANEE - Collins Hill stayed  unbeaten at 5-0 on Friday with a 5-3 win over Milton in the Home America Mortgage Invitational.

Kacey Hawkshead (2-0) allowed three runs on four hits with four strikeouts in 6 1⁄3 innings for the win, while Lauren Reader recorded the last two outs for the save.

Randi Rea went 1-for-3 at the plate
with an RBI while Melissa Hinesley
went 2-for-3.

Collins Hill 4, Allatoona 1

SUWANEE - Christina Parham (1-0) pitched the complete game and gave up 4 hits, an unearned
run and struck out 6 batters as Collins Hill defeated Allatoona 4-1 in the Home America Invitational
on Thursday. Alexa Lewis was 2-for-3 with a run, Sammy Lenahan was 1-for-3 with a solo homerun
and Parham was 3-for-3 at the plate with an RBI and a run. The Eagles are 4-0.

Eagles win the 1st game of the Home America Tournament

SUWANEE - Collins Hill won its third  
straight game to open the season,
beating Loganville 7-5 on Wednesday in
the Home America Mortgage Invitational.

Lauren Reader (2-0) pitched 6 1⁄3 innings 
to earn the win. Kacey Hawkshead got the
last two outs for her first save.

Karlie Gillam had two hits, an RBI, and a
run. Michelle Johnson went 2-for-3 with a 
double, an RBI, and a run. Christina Parham scored twice and had a pair of hits.

The Eagles are 3-0.

SUWANEE - Collins Hill defeated Grayson 8-0 in five innings on Monday for its second win in as many games this season.

Kacey Hawkshead threw all five innings, allowing two hits and striking out three to get the victory.

Danielle Almeida was 2-for-3 with a double, a triple and three RBIs. Randi Rea and Alexa Lewis were both 2-for-4 with an RBI.

The Eagles are 2-0.

KENNESAW - Collins Hill took a 7-1 win over Kennesaw Mountain on Friday.
Lauren Reader threw a complete game and gave up eight hits, a run and struck out two batters.
Sammy Lenahan was 2-for-3 with a double and a run and Karlie Gillam was 1-for-1 with two RBIs
and a run. Rachel Logan was 2-for-2 with an RBI and a run and Christina Parham went 2-for-4 with
two runs and an RBI for the Eagles.

Saturday, August 16
JV wins the Diamond Bracket in Grayson Tournament
The JV Eagles won the Diamond bracket going 5-0 for the weekend. 
In pool play, they beat North Gwinnett's 9th grade 11-1, Ola 16-0, and Brookwood 9-0. 
In the medal round, they beat North Gwinnett 3-0 and Mill Creek 8-0 for the Championship.

9th Grade finished 3rd in the Grayson Gold Bracket
The 9th grade Eagles finished 3rd in the Gold bracket, going 2-3 on the weekend. 
In pool play, lost to Loganville's JV 6-2, beat Newton County's JV 19-3, and lost to Harrison's JV 7-0. 
In the medal round, they lost 3-0 to Apalachee's JV and beat St. Pius' JV 8-5.
