Boys Tryout Reminders from Coach Prentice
1) If by Monday, I don't have a completed physical, then you will NOT be allowed to tryout. I've attached the physical form to this email in case you still need it.
2) Tryouts will begin promptly at 2:40 p.m; this means you have already checked in with the staff/managers and have already warmed yourself up.. we start PLAYING at 2:40. Below is a list of items that all players should make sure that they bring:
-inflated soccer ball (we have too many players trying out to supply anyone with a soccer ball this year)
-cleats -shinguards (no shinguards = no tryout = automatic cut)
-water
-running shoes
-All players should wear a WHITE shirt (it can have other colors/designs on it, but the base color should be white); except for GKs.. you guys can wear whatever you need to. * Should we have inclement weather we will make an announcement regarding either a change in venue (possibly a gym) or cancellation. So make sure you bring flats in case we have to go indoors.
3) For those that make the team next week, be aware that we will have our annual, mandatory kickoff meeting for all players AND parents on Saturday, January 28th. This is NEXT Saturday; it has been on the "important date sheet" that has been handed out several times since September and has been posted on our website for some time. This is the meeting where you are expected to pay booster dues ($225) and order any spiritwear that you wish to order. We will also discuss our fundraiser at this meeting and officially introduce the teams (great time to get pictures of everyone together). Please plan on attending as this meeting is mandatory and extremely important! It's the only time all season that we all meet together until the end of season banquet.
**IMPORTANT: Originally, we had this meeting set for 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 28th; however, this is an SAT Testing date. To accommodate those that may be testing, we have pushed back the meeting until 1:30 p.m. (still on 1/28). It will still be held in the commons area. AGAIN, this is an extremely important meeting, so don't forget about it and don't forget the checkbook :)
Remember to visit our Facebook page, and all of the information handed out is also located on our main website at: http://www.eteamz.com/collinshilleagles1/

Player/Parent Meeting TONIGHT at 7:00 in the CHHS Theater
Don't forget about the player/parent meeting tonight in the CHHS Theater at 7:00 p.m. We understand that many of the players will probably have practice tonight, but all we ask is that SOMEONE show up to the meeting whether it's a parent or the player with a parent. It's a short meeting that will outline the programs' philosophies, format for tryouts, expectations for participation in the booster club, etc. We will also have previous CHHS Soccer spiritwear for sale at a discounted rate.

Physical Day - Wednesday, September 14th at 3:00 in the Field House!!
Don't forget that tomorrow, Wednesday, September 14th, is physical day. Plan on being at the field house a little before 3:00. Cost is $15 and all the money goes straight to the athletic department; some of that money will be diverted directly to the soccer program.
This is also typically much cheaper than going to your personal physician or a walk in clinic.
Remember that if you need to purchase the student insurance that you can do so online at: www.studentinsurance-kk.com
You must purchase at least the $22.00 option called "at school". Please print out the confirmation page and attach it to your physical.
If you would like to mail in a check, YOU MUST BRING THE FORM AND MONEY TO COACH PRENTICE'S ROOM (Trailer 10) by Friday, September 16th. DO NOT MAIL IT IN YOURSELF!!
In case you need it, here is a link to the physical form that must be used when receiving your physical examination: http://collinshill.com/athletics_files/2011-12_Physcial_Form.pdf

Initial Player Informational Meeting
All players interested in playing soccer at Collins Hill this Spring should plan on attending the initial players meeting which will be held on Wednesday, September 7th at 2:30. For those students in "in-season" athletics such as football, cross country, volleyball, softball, etc. should come see Coach Prentice in Trailer 10 (boys) or Coach Dean in Trailer 8 (girls) to receive the packet of information. Students who typically ride the bus home should make other arrangements next Wednesday. This meeting is extremely important as we will layout the plan for the next several months, and the coaching staff MUST collect some important information from any prospective player in order to check eligibility for the Spring.
