In Memory of Jarrett
After a long, hard battle, Jarrett Boston passed away Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2006. Jarrett was a big part of Collins Hill, and will be dearly missed.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Boston family. We will miss--and never forget Jarrett.
A Message from Coach Pierce: ...Jarrett Boston has gone to be with our Lord and Savior. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family... I have peace this morning though knowing that Jarrett is in a better place and he is Cancer free and Pain free. I do not know all there is to know about Heaven, but he may be shooting hoops and smiling and looking down on us and saying, "Please do not cry for me. I am the lucky one. I am with our Heavenly Father and we are having a blast. No more sorrows... no more tears. I have found my Victory in Jesus."
Memorials in Jarrett's name can be made to the Make A Wish Foundation, 1230 Johnson Ferry Rd., Ste. E-40, Marietta, GA 30068-2054. A special thanks to the Make A Wish Foundation for providing Jarrett and our family with a trip to Disney World this past June.
Jarrett valiantly combated Malignant Melonoma, for the second time. Malignant melanoma is only found in 1 in 350,000 kids under the age of 18. There are only about 500 cases in the United States. Ranked 50th among a class of 920, Jarrett was a "Scholar Athlete" (received his first ever "B" in school his sophomore year while initially treating this disease) participating in basketball, baseball, and football.
Christopher Jarrett Boston, age 17 of Lawrenceville, GA passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2006 after a heroic 3 year battle with Melanoma. Jarrett was a much loved son, brother and friend. Jarrett was a Junior at Collins Hill High School, where he played football as quarterback, basketball as point guard, baseball as a left fielder and played tennis. He was a gifted student who never received a grade lower than an A in any subject from kindergarten through his sophomore year. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, William Wansley and great grandparents, Ethel Wiles and Forest Wansley. He is survived by his parents: Greg & Michelle Boston; brothers: Connor Wansley Boston, William Flinn Boston and Jon Briggs Boston; sister: Lydia Jane Boston; grandmothers: Linda Wiles Wansley of Toccoa, GA, Cindy Flinn Boston of Troy, OH; grandfather: Art Boston of Troy, OH; great grandparents: Sarah Wansley of Elberton, GA, Harold Wiles of Elberton, GA, Helen Boston of Greenville, OH; several Aunts, Uncles & Cousins.
