CSA Local Rules
There is a hierarchy of laws and rules governing CSA games:
(Note: As the age of the player increases, the number of modifications becomes less.)
1. FIFA Laws of the Game (unless modified below)
2. USSF Laws and Rules (unless modified below)
- No one may play a match wearing ANY jewelry that may be considered dangerous
to self or any other person. This includes all pierced earrings, at all ages.
- No one may wear shoes that may be considered dangerous to others.
Tennis shoes are allowed, but not recommended. No metal cleats.
Shoes with toe cleats are not recommended, but may be worn if they are molded rubber.
Aluminum-tipped soccer studs are allowed if not rough or damaged.
- The decision of the referee is final.

5. Colleyville Soccer Association Rules and Guidelines
- Parent/coaches, non-playing players, parents and spectators should be located
not less than six (6) yards from outside the touchline, nor should they be closer
than twenty (20) yards to the goal line.
- No one may coach or spectate (sit/stand) behind the goal line.
- No individual should run the length of the field except participants of the game.
- Parent/coaches should not coach or instruct players during the game.
- U5-U7 matches without keepers means NO keepers using only their feet and
NO deep sweepers.
This is a Spirit of the Game issue and will be enforced.

No Jewelry

Shinguards Are Required
- Age appropriate shinquards are MANDATORY and must be completely covered by the socks. Shinguards are worn underneath socks, not on top and folded over.
Slide Tackles
- No sliding tackles are allowed in U5-U8 play. These are defined as sliding along the ground with one or both feet in a challenge to take the ball from an opponent. Sliding to save a ball going over the touchline or goal line is NOT a sliding tackle.
