Coaches:

We are looking forward to a great session Monday night. As you and your team prepare to participate, please keep the following in mind:

1.       Session summaries will be provided:
These will be great for you to take notes on and have for your use during your team practices later in the week. Please be sure to bring a pen/pencil and a clipboard/folder so you can take notes during the session

2.       You will be given a sign up sheet for your team:
Please sign the sheet for you and your team so we have a record of your attendance. This will be helpful for us as we work with North Texas to get proper coaching certification credit and also to get an appropriate headcount for future session staffing.

3.       Parking will be limited- please adhere to the traffic pattern and parking instructions:
I recommend that you come as early as possible to ensure that you and your team are in place and ready to go when your session begins. Please keep in mind that we will be transitioning several hundred kiddos in and out of the three sessions and the timeframes are tight. Please park at the Game Fields and walk your kiddos over to the practice fields. You will not be able to park at the practice fields. The practice fields do not have enough parking to accommodate us and we want to minimize the # of moving vehicles in the same area as our kiddos. We will have volunteers there ready to check you in and point you in the right direction.

4.       If weather is questionable, please check the Hotline number before each session for cancellation due to weather or any other updates:
The Hotline # is: 817-251-8586

5.       Please communicate to your kids that they will need to bring a ball, shin guards, water, and wear their team jersey (if available) for the first session.

We appreciate your patience, especially during this first session. This will be a new experience for all of us and it may take us some time to get all the logistics worked out and a smooth process in place. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

Coaches Reminders
Basic goal:

Make soccer safe, fun and educational for all children, family members and spectators.

Reminders:

- All children MUST play at least 50% of every game.

- You are responsible for the conduct of the players and the spectators.

- Game fields are only to be used for scheduled games.

- In most cases, the City of Colleyville controls play based on weather conditions. Please refer to the "Weather (sic) or Not to Play" document.

- Only the coaches are allowed to speak to the referees.

- In the event of rainout, the Home coach is responsible to contact the Scheduler for arranging the new day and time for play. The Home team coach should also communicate with the Visiting coach. The new game time should be rescheduled within 1 week of the rain out.

- Coaches may go on the field:
o        Before the start of a new period
o        After a goal is scored
o        Once approval is gained from the referee

- Each coach should conduct at least 1 team practice per week. Optional skills sessions in addition to the team practice using a "skills coach" on a fee basis is allowed. The team coach must be present and the "skills coach" must present the NTSSA Risk Management form to the CSA Registrar.

Practice Field Usage

Colleyville Upper Deck Practice Fields Policy:

Effective Spring, 2006, the practice field usage policy has been updated. We are proud to present a newly formed and better organized process to manage practice field usage. Practice fields on both the upper and lower decks of our Pleasant Run practice fields have been striped and numbered, and goals have been added to fields that previously did not have them. This allows CSA to offer reserved practice space to CSA teams that wish to have it. Practice space will be shared with club soccer partners as space permits. Please contact Garry Russell, VP fields, for further information, and to reserve time and space for your team on the Pleasant Run practice fields.
