The College Station Tsunamis will travel to Brenham on Saturday. Tsunamis need to check in beginning at 7:15 with Mrs. Pence, outside, at the door on the south side (big grassy area) of the Aquatic Center. Warm-ups for 10 and unders will be from 7:30-7:45 and 11 and older swimmers will warm-up from 7:45-8:00. The meet is scheduled to begin at 8:15. All swimmers that haven't checked in by 7:50 am may be scratched from their relays.

The City of Brenham has requested that we park in the new Brenham Middle School driveway to allow their patrons to park in the pool lot.

Remember that "checking in" at the meet, means that you must see your name get highlighted on the list! You should put your numbers on your hand/arm the night before the meet. We will have Sharpies and a couple of extra entry lists you can reference if needed.

The Brenham Aquatic center is located right across the street from BlueBell Ice Cream (please click on "locations" on our website menu for directions). There is an outdoor recreational pool at the same facility that will be opening at noon. The competition pool is an indoor, 6 lane, 25 yard pool. 

One thing that is different about the Brenham pool is that although we will use parent timers, the primary timing mechanism will be touch pads. Many younger and/or new swimmers may not hit the pad hard enough upon finishing to stop the clock. Don't worry if that happens as we have back up manual times that can be checked. Do check the posted meet results during the meet and let us know if anything looks out of the ordinary.

If you find out after entries have been posted, that you cannot attend, please respect your teammates, by calling/emailing Jacky Pence 255-0361 at skittle@suddenlink.net so that we can make any adjustment to relays that may be necessary.

Brenham will probably have approximately 100 swimmers. College Station will have approximately 150 swimmers signed up to swim at the meet. Therefore, we anticipate that the meet will be over about 12:30 p.m. If you are not in a freestyle relay, you will finish before this time, however PLEASE check out with your coach before you leave to make sure that you are not needed to swim in a relay.

You need to bring chairs and shade for your time in between races. The natatorium gets very hot and muggy and most parents choose to stay outside until their kids swim. Parents, remember that some of you will be needed to work during the meet, even though it is an away meet! We appreciate your help!

Brenham will have a concession stand, so you are welcome to buy snacks and drinks from there or you are allowed to bring your own, but please don't bring food into the natatorium. They will have pizza for sale about 11:00 am and they normally have breakfast tacos, doughnuts and coffee.
