Regional Championship Meet Info
The TAAF Regional Championships will begin at 8:30 on Saturday, July 9 at the Bryan Aquatic Center. Tsunami warm-up time will be from 7:20-7:40 a.m.
This is a relatively small meet (appx 275 total competitors) so the meet should be completely finished by 12:15.
Make sure that you check the heat sheet for your event numbers as this meet has a different order of events than what we are use to! Also, we plan to combine many events to expedite the meet, so please pay attention to what the ready bench is calling!
Medals and ribbons will be available to be picked up at the pool after your events, so don't forget to get your awards before you go home!
If your swimmer finishes 1st or 2nd in an event, please report to the registration table (beginning at the end of the freestyle relays) and you can accept (by paying $6.00 per event and relay leg--(No Cash, checks only!) your earned bid to the Games of Texas. If you do not pay for your event before you leave the pool, you will give up your spot and the next swimmer in order of finish will bump up until we have entered two swimmers in each event. If you earn a spot to Games of Texas and know that you will not participate, please come to the registration table and let us know, so that we can offer your spot to the next swimmer.
There will be no admission charged. Heat sheets will be available for probably $2.00.
Parents, we will need you to work this meet as ready bench, timers, etc. Since it is a small meet, we will need most every family to pitch in and help!! Thanks in advance for your cooperation! Here are the assignments that we have been charged with filling:
