We're heading into the final stretch of the 2007/08 Season !!! 

We've seen some pretty intense Provincial and Playoff action this year and a lot of valuable experience has been gained at all levels. Congratulations to all officials and their assignments during the post season. 

Overall the season has gone very well and our core of new officials have done a commendable job. Hats off as well to our returning officials that have come back with even more enthusiasm and have been a huge help working with the rookies! The senior members of the association as well as numerous members of minor hockey have been very pleased by the effort demonstrated by the younger officials at these tougher learning levels. Thanks to all for a job well done!

The Cochrane Referees Association is proud and fortunate once again to be strongly supported by the Cochrane Minor Hockey Association and greatfully sponsored by the awesome people at Northland Pontiac Buick GMC. We are fortunate with these relationtionships as it has afforded us to build a strong Association and tradition in the Cochrane community.

A few familiar faces will be coming back to town as John Hughes, coach of the Houston Jr Aeros Midget hockey club, is taking his team on a little tour through Western Canada and Cochrane is one of the stops. John's son Cory is a player on the team. John and his other son Joel used to be officials in the CRA a few years back.

The game is scheduled for Friday, March 21st from 3:30 to 5:30 pm at the Totem Arena and the officiating crew is Kendall Waiting as ref and Tim harper & Shayne Caron as the linesman.

Should be a good one. Be sure to stop by the rink and check it out if you have time.
