 League & General: 

Ø      Registration fee is $100.00, No Refund Policy; Returned checks will have an additional fee.

Ø      All participants please get a receipt with cash or check monies paid, please make sure fees are turned into someone that can write a receipt.

Ø      Please inform the coaches and team parent of any medication that your child is taking,  and its effects in regards to heat, exhaustion and disciplinary control of the said participant.

Ø      No participant will receive practice or game uniform and equipment until registration is 100% Paid.  Any participant that has an outstanding balance will not be allowed to play.  Spirit Packs are sized to each individual per sizes available and while supplies last, fees are not reduced if an item is no longer available. Player’s equipment is provided per the leagues convenience, and does not affect the registration fee if a participant chosen to use their own.

Ø      Football Registration Fee Includes the following: 

o        That Must Be Returned: Black Football Helmet w/ Chin Strap, Shoulder Pads, Game Jersey, Black Game/Practice Pants, Pants Pads.

o        That The Player Will Keep:  Game Socks, Participation Trophy & Spirit Pack - Practice Jersey, White Steelers Football T-Shirt, Black Mesh Shorts. 

o        Note:   Spirit Packs are only given to participants that are 100% paid and signed up by July 24th.

Ø       Everyone makes the team/squad, there are no try-outs, But there will be a waiting list of non-participating individuals.

Ø       There is no guaranteed or mandatory football playing time. Do not coach your child from the sideline; this can affect their playing time. Please encourage respect and a good team effort. Please do not have any unscheduled meetings with coaches during games or practices. A participant may be subject to practice and/or game suspension if they are unruly; This will be a meeting between coach, parent & league director.

Ø       Each Team is responsible for their own specific discipline policies; when disciplining a player you must:

o        Insure player safety

o        Consider the individual athlete and his/her limitations

o        Make sure the athlete understands the reason for the discipline

o        Encourage and reaffirm that afterwards the infraction is paid and forgiven

o        Be sure it is best for the team's progress

o        Do it with consistency

o        Make the discipline fit the crime

General Notes:

Ø       Team Banquets are organized & funded by each team, consult Team Parent and Head Coach for team banquet information, each participate will receive a trophy, a team may organize additional accolades’ which KYS done not contribute or is responsible for who or how they are distributed.

Ø       There is a $3.00 game admission (Conference Dictated, also coaches must pay at away games) for anyone over the age of 17.  This money goes to cover the cost of the Officials, Security and Maintenance. Players should arrive no later than 45 minutes before game start time.

Ø       Home Game Theme: We will have a canned goods drive for Lords Kitchen, every “Home Game” .

Ø      August “Team Spirit” Game, Winning Team Pizza Party @ Practice.

Ø      September “Homecoming” Game, Recognition of elder portion of division.

Ø      September “Black Out” Game, we will have Black w/White Print T-Shirts for sale, $6 or 2 for $10, 2X/3X etc… $2 per each additional X, We will do a team order in July. “Example: 3X = $10”

Ø      October “Breast Cancer Awareness” Game, we will have items from this foundation for sale. 

Ø       Mighty Mite, PeeWee and Junior Special Games for the kids that do not start or play as much, they will be on Sunday’s 3pm for MM & 4:30pm for PW, & 6pm for JR. Admission will be FREE!   It is important that all team members are present to cheer on the players that have a smaller role on the team.

Ø      August 30th, KYS vs Shawnee (No Juniors) 

Ø      September 13th, KYS vs Colts (No Juniors)

Ø      September 20th, KYS vs Derby City

Ø      September 27th, KYS vs Patriots

No animals of any kind are Allowed:

Ø       Not at Practice

Ø       Not at Games

Ø       Not at any away site

Ø       Not at any KYS function 

Team & Individual Pictures:

Ø       Will be August 18th, 6pm / this is a first come first serve set up, based on a team collective.

Heat Index Information: Today's Projected Heat Index @ 6pm; 87' (7/27, 3:14pm)

Note: We need the players to come to practice better hydrated and we need to try to get more water in them 6:30 to 7:00pm, normally the index drops rapidly by 7:00pm. 

HEAT INDEX GUIDELINES AT THE FIELD, NOT FROM THE RADIO OR NEWS 

Under 95 degrees:  “Provide ample amounts of water. “Mandatory water breaks every 30 minutes for 5 minutes in duration   “Watch/monitor athletes carefully for necessary action.  

95 degrees to 99:  “Provide ample amounts of water. This means that water should always be available and athletes should be able to take in as much water as they desire. “Mandatory water breaks every 30 minutes for 10 minutes in duration “Ice-down towels for cooling “Watch/monitor athletes carefully for necessary action. “Remove all equipment if not involved in contact or necessary for safety.

100 degrees to 104:  “Provide ample amounts of water. This means that water should always be available and athletes should be able to take in as much water as they desire. “Mandatory water breaks every 30 minutes for 10 minutes in duration “Ice-down towels for cooling “Watch/monitor athletes carefully for necessary action. “Allow for changes to dry t-shirts and shorts. “Reduce time of outside activity “Helmets and other possible equipment removed if not involved in contact or necessary for safety.

Above 104 degrees:  "Stop all outside activity in practice and/or play, and stop all inside activity if air conditioning is unavailable.
