CNBLL: Welcome
Tuesday, April 14
The 2009 CNBLL Safety Plan has been completed and is now available for download. All coaches should download it, review it, and print it out so they have it with them during practices and games.

As I said on Opening Day, it was my goal to organize a social event for the parents in the league. It isn't often when we can get together without games or practices and be able to talk as well as eat and drink something besides concession food and Gatorade (not that there is anything wrong with that). In doing so, we can also raise a small amount of money for the league and patronize one of our league's sponsors.
On Sat., June 13th, I would like to have a CNBLL Evening at the Blue Moon Pub on 42 Phenix Ave in Cranston. It will begin at 7:00pm and will include a buffet. With each ticket purchased, you will receive a drink coupon good for a beer, wine or soda. There will also be karaoke during the evening.
Tickets are $14 per person. To purchase a ticket, please see me or Chris in the concession stand. Tickets will also be available at the door (but please send me an email if you plan on attending so I can have a count).
I hope to see many of you there. Any questions, please feel free to shoot me an email.
Thanks!
Don

Good Afternoon, Cranston National Budlong Little League will be having their opening day next Saturday, April 25th, 2009.
As we have done in previous years, this will start with a parade of players leaving Rite Aid (formerly Brooks) on Pontiac Ave. at 8:30am. We ask that all players be at Rite Aid by 8:10am so we can get the teams organized for their march down to the field.
Upon arrival at the field, we will introduce each team name as they walk onto the field. The opening day ceremony will start at 9am and should be completed by 9:30 am. Once complete, we have a schedule of games to be played thoughout the day. Also, individual and team pictures will be taken. I have made an effort to reduce waiting times as much as possible. This will require teams to be on-time for their slotted picture time. I have posted the game and picture schedules below.
Tim Horton's will be at the field again this year to serve coffee throughout the morning. The concession stand and grill will be open as well. Lets hope we have weather like we did last year. If you have any questions, feel free to let me know.

Tryouts for Cranston National Budlong Little League will be conducted on March 7th, and March 14th. They will be held at the Cranston East Gym on Park Ave. Since the January and February registrations, we have made changes to the times that the age groups will be trying out. Please look carefully at the schedule below.
We encourage the players to attend both tryouts. This will allow the coaches to see and evaluate them two different times.
Also, all boys who played in the majors division last year must register by March 14th to ensure their roster spot.
Finally, for those who have not registered yet, you can register at tryouts. This includes tee-ball and those players that do not have to try out that have already made the majors in baseball or softball. You can also register online at our website: http://www.eteamz.com/cnbll.
Tryout Schedule
Baseball

9:00am - 10 year olds
10:00am - 9 year olds

Softball Schedule

The drawing for the lights was held live on NESN at Fenway Park on Sept.22nd. Unfortunately, Bridgewater, MA won the grand prize. CNBLL did come in 4th Place and will receive a $500 donation from GCE. Below is a video of the drawing...

Starting August 1st, please go to Granite City Electric's web site and vote for CNBLL in their Field of Dreams contest. For every 1500 votes, we receive one entry into their sweepstake to receive lights for our field. Please encourage family, friends, and co-workers to do the same.
