Clairemont Mesa Little League: Presidents Message
Presidents Message
29 February 2008
As we begin the new Little League season, it looks like the start of another great year. We have nearly 150 players assigned to 14 teams at CMLL, and we’re looking forward to an exciting season. We’ve had a very successful fundraiser, we’ve accomplished a lot of maintenance on the fields, and all of the rain this spring has made the fields a beautiful shade of green.
A lot of time, treasure and effort went into maintaining and improving the fields and the rest of the complex over the off-season, and during Winter Ball 2007. Additional work has been accomplished since the first of the year, especially the installation of the break-away bases on all fields, and now it’s finally time to start playing baseball. This year, as an added treat, both of our Majors teams and all four of our Minor teams will be inter-leaguing with Mira Mesa West Little League. This means that a number of our parents and players will be able to travel to another League’s site to play games, and we’ll have more variety in the teams that we play throughout the season.
Let’s all get out there and have fun, and support the kids during their season. After all, Little League is all about the kids.
