World Series Champions!
Chula Vista's Park View Little League Sunday became the first Little League World Series champion from San Diego County in 48 years by defeating Taoyuan, Taiwan, 6-3 in South Williamsport, Pa.
The "Blue Bombers" rallied from a 3-0 hole in the third inning to win, a comeback that was helped by some uncharacteristically sloppy play by the team representing the Asian-Pacific Region.
The last local team to win it all was the La Mesa-El Cajon Northern All- Stars in 1961, with a roster that included future NFL quarterback Brian Sipe as a reserve.
Chula Vista is the first winner from California since former Padres third baseman Sean Burroughs led Long Beach to back-to-back championships in 1992 and 1993.
Teams from Oceanside and Vista have also participated in the Little League World Series in the past decade.

2009 LITTLE LEAGUE BAT RULES![]()
In effect for the 2009 season is the requirement that all non-wood bats used in Little League Baseball (Majors) Divisions and below shall be printed with a BPF of 1.15 or less.
This stipulation has been included in the Official Rules and Regulations for the past few years, leading up to 2009, so that leagues, parents, and bat manufacturers could prepare for it.
Most non-wood bats manufactured over the past several years for the age groups involved in Little League Baseball (Majors) and below have been permanently imprinted with the BPF. In fact, very few bats sold today with a diameter of 2-1/4 (two and one-quarter) inches are not printed with the BPF rating.
So, starting with the 2009 season, bats printed with a BPF higher than 1.15, or without a BPF printed (or not legible) on the bat, are not permitted in these divisions.

H1N1/SWINE FLU INFO
We suggest that one of the best measures parents and volunteers can take at this time is to exercise good judgment regarding attendance at practices and games.
If their Little Leaguer or another family member appears to have flu-like symptoms (fever, cough, sore throat, body aches, headaches, chills, fatigue), they should stay home and schedule an appointment with their primary care physician.
For the most up to date and authoritative information, treatment and prevention of this illness, please visit the following websites:

WHAT YOU CAN DO TO STAY HEALTHY*
There Are Everyday Actions People Can Take To Stay Healthy:
· Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze. Throw the tissue in the trash after you use it.· Wash your hands often with soap and water, especially after you cough or sneeze. Alcohol-based hand cleansers are also effective.
· Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth as germs spread that way.
· Try to avoid close contact with ill people.
· Influenza is thought to spread mainly person-to-person through coughing or sneezing of infected people.
· If you get sick, CDC recommends that you stay home from work and limit contact with others to keep from infecting them.

There are many ways for Communities and Businesses to show support for the many sports programs that are offered for Children throughout our local area. Here at Clairemont Mesa Little League we provide a quality program of Little League Baseball for Children ages 5 through 12.
Our program is staffed entirely by Volunteers and is supported through Fundraisers and Sponsorships. If not for the generosity of our Sponsors and help from our Community, we would not be able to offer this Little League Program for our youth in our local area.
If you or someone you know is interested in becoming a TEAM or LEAGUE Sponsor. Please, fill out the sponsor form and include the child's name on the form. That child's league fees will be waived for the upcoming season (up to three children for League Sponsor)
