Vision of Club Elite of Birmingham

The track and field program provides an opportunity for our youth to compete regardless of their abilities...And, the more they compete, the better they become. They meet other young people from throughout the world. Club Elite is committed to teach the correct basic skills of running and conditioning which are the foundations for all competitive sports. The club stress scholarship, and insist that our youth look at athletics as a means of obtaining a higher education.

Elite athletes Marbury, Wilson make Junior Olympic finals (click for results)
Club Elite sprinter Joy Marbury placed fifth in the youth girl's 200 meter dash at a time of 24.91. Marbury's fifth place finish in the Junior Olympic 200 final was her third USATF All-American achivement.
In addition, Marbury and Beonka Wilson will both compete in the 100 meter dash finals on Sunday. Lakeshia Williams placed ninth in the young women's 200 meters at 24.20. Keenan Brock placed eleventh in the intermediate boys 100 meter dash at 10.95. The intermediate girl's 4 x 100 relay placed ninth at 48.42 seconds.

LaKesia "CeCe"Williams signs with the Auburn Tigers(click for video)
Club Elite of Birmigham sprinter LaKeshia Williams, signed a track and field scholarship to Auburn University on Wednesday. Williams, the an 8-time Alabama High School State Champion at 100, 200, and 400 meters, signed on the official signing day with the support of classmates, faculty, and the administration of Ramsay Alternative High School.
After sitting out last season, Williams is preparing to compete this year on the high school level, after a season of head on competition against collegiate and professional athletes. This season, Lakeshia is looking forward to qualify for the 2008 Olympic Trials in July.
Williams will enjoy another summer season at Club Elite of Birmingham. She will continue to be an example to many future great female sprinters at Club Elite such as, Beonka Wilson, Joy Marbury, Simone Charley, Nadia Burnett, Jade Stribling, Jade Williams, A`Keria Williams,Tiah Charlton, Alexandria and Tia Williams.
