Club All Star

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Club All Star?

Club All Star (CAS) is a competitive baseball traveling organization formed out of All Star Sports in 2004. CAS currently has competitive teams in the 12U, (2) 13U, 14U, 16U, and 18U age groups.  Our mission is to provide professional baseball leadership through our teams to committed players in the Central Valley. We strive to have our players not only develop on the baseball field, but in the classroom and life.

How are All Star teams selected?

Our teams are typically formed through try-outs during our Fall Training Program that takes place each August-October. After the Fall Training Program we set our rosters for the upcoming season.

Can I join after the Fall Training Program?

CAS carries 11-13 players on each roster. Each season is different, but we ocassionaly have openings on some of our rosters at different times throughout the year.

Does All Star recruit players?

We try and take the high road when it comes to having new players join our organization. CAS does not promote recruiting players away from other teams. Tournament baseball has turned into a "Grass is Greener on the Other Side" sport. We try and teach loyalty and commitment to our players. 99% of the players that join our program have come to us first in an effort to join our program.

Who coaches All Star teams?

All of our coaches have played baseball at the college or professional level and are experts at breaking down "The Game Within the Game" to players of all ages. CAS coaches pride themselves in teaching the game at the D1 college level both mechanically and strategically. When our players enter High School they will "know" the game at the Varsity level. CAS coaches also stress the importance of teaching life lessons through the sport of baseball such as... Team Work, Respect, Hard Work, Commitment, Character, Loyalty, and Perseverance.

Where does All Star play?

Our teams compete in weekend tournaments througout No. California througout the year and play in a National Championship tournament each Summer. Local tournaments take place at locations such as the impressive Big League Dreams Complex in Manteca and other venues typically within a 1 1/2 hr. radius of Stockton.

What type of National Tournaments does All Star compete in?

Our 12U team travels to the prestigious Cooperstown Dreams Park in New York each Summer. Our 13U & 14U age groups play in very competitive tournaments that they qualify for each season. Our teams have competed in Las Vegas, Arizona, Colorado, and Florida. Our 16U team has earned a spot in the very prestigious USA Baseball Junior Olympics that takes place in Arizona each June.

What does it cost to play on a All Star team?

CAS is different than most local travel ball teams due to the fact that all of teams coaches are paid professionals. All of our teams incur different costs depending on location and duration of each tournament. CAS is looking into different fund-raisers to offer scholarships to players in need.
