Clovis, NM American Little League: My Default Season Divisions

T-ball
T-ball is recommended for both boys and girls, ages 4-6, and is subject (at parents discretion) to player ability. T-ball is an entry-level division where the basics of baseball are taught. Players will hit from a 'T' the entire season.

Farm/Coach-pitch
This division concentrates further on the fundamentals of baseball. Each team is comprised of approximately 12 players. Each player will have the opportunity to earn a position in the starting rotation and will benefit from playing numerous positions. Historically, players were pitched to by a pitching machine. I order to properly prepare each player for the next level, we now have implemented 'coach pitch'. Under this new guideline, players are pitched to by their respective team coach.

Minor League
This division concentrates on player-pitch. All baseball rules are incorporated at this level, with the exception of base stealing and leading off.

Major League
Players age 11 or older are required to play in the Major League division (unless skill level dictates otherwise). Entry to the Major League level is highly dependent on skill level. Players as young as 9 years old may enter the Major league division, again depending on skill level. All players shall participate in a minimum of 1 tryout session. Tryouts will be in the month of March.
