Parent/Coach Communications

Appropriate Concerns to Discuss with Coaches
  • Treatment of your child
  • Ways to help your child improve
  • Concerns about your child's behavior

Inappropriate Concerns to Discuss with Coaches
  • Playing time
  • Team strategy
  • Play calling
  • Other athletes

Parent's Code of Conduct
  • Control your emotions at games and events
  • Be realistic with your child's physical ability and avoid making comparisons with other members of the team
  • Respect your child's coaches. Communicate with them in a positive way and encourage others to do the same
  • Be a positive role model

Procedures to Discuss Concerns with Coaches
  • Call the Manager/Coach to set up an appointment
  • If the coach can not be reaches, call the Player Representative from the Board of Directors to set up the meeting for you and the coach
  • Please DO NOT attempt to confront a coach before or after a game or practice. These can be emotional times for both the parent and the coach. Meetings of this nature usually do not promote positive resolution.

The Next Step to Resolve an Issue
  • Call and set up an appointment with the Player Representative to discuss the situation
  • At this meeting, the appropriate next step can be determined
