Monday, June 23 Red Sox Crowned City Champs Red Sox Crowned City Champs It took two games on Saturday, but the Continental Little League Red Sox fought back after a loss at the hands of the reigning Continental Rockies to capture the city title by winning the second game against the Rockies. The first game on Saturday was do or die for the Rockies, as they had one loss in the double elimination tournament. The Rockies defeated the Red Sox in first game, handing the Red Sox their first tournament loss. With both teams now with one loss, the next game would decide the championship. After the tough loss, the Red Sox regained their composure in the nightcap, and handed the Rockies their second tournament loss; thereby winning the championship. Congratulations to the Red Sox for keeping the city championship trophy in Continental Little League! ........................................................................................................................................................................
