CAPITAL DISTRICT MABL (ALBANY, NY): CDMABL News: Championship Series - Game 2 results

After a few days of rain, the Cudas and Knights would finally get game 2 underway.  The Knights sent Wes Hayden to battle Jim Shook and the Cudas. 

Everyone knew it would be a pitchers duel and these 2 wouldn't dissapoint.  Hayden and Shook would match 0's and K's through 7 innings with each pitcher only giving up 2 hits.

Finally in the bottom of the 8th, the Cudas would strike.  Jim Shook led off with a base hit down the left field line and turn the hit into a double with a good slide.  Eric Joyce would then bunt shook over to 3rd.  With one out and the infield in, Chisena would pull a grounder down the 1st base line.  With Shook off on the hit, there would be a close play at the plate, but Shook would be safe and the Cudas would win 1-0. 

With the win, the Cudas take the commanding 2-0 lead in the best of 5 series.  Game 3 (and 4 if neccesary) will be Wednesday night with a 6:15 start time at the Clifton Commons.
