With the Knights sweeping the Black Sox on Monday and Tuesday.  In the other series, the Cudas and Canes faced off in an epic battle.

In game 1, a Shook vs. Cornell would lead to the Cudas taking a 1-0 lead in the series.  Shook would no-hit the Canes as the Cudas would grab the 6-0 lead.

Game 2 would be what many consider to be the "Game of the Year".  Game 2 starter Ryan Williams of the Canes would never make the start, as he injured his arm in warm ups.  So the Canes sent out Josh Kean against Jeff Streeter for the Cudas.  The game would last 13 innings and the Canes would score 4 in the 13th to win 7-3 and even the series at 1.

Game 3 would be Wednesday night and the Cudas would send Travis Beer against the Canes Steve Huneau.  The Cudas were out in front early on a Canes error, then the Canes would pick up 2.  Down 2-1, the Cudas would put up 2 runs with 2 outs to take the 3-2 lead.  Jim Shook would enter in the 5th for the Cudas as they looked to close out the series.  With 2 outs in the 7th and down to thier last strike, the Canes would get a walk and a bloop double that turned into the tying run.  Tied at 3,  both teams battled for a few more scoreless innings.  With both teams having chances, the Cudas would finally cash in in the 10th.  They would grab 2 and never look back.  The final would be 5-3.  And after 30 innings, the series was decided.  The Cudas would advance to the Championship to take on the Knights.

Game 1 of the Knights-Cudas battle will be Saturday morning at 10am at the Clifton Commons.

Congrats to both teams and the Canes on a great season.  Check back this weekend for updates on the Championship series.
