Tuesday August 18th, Clifton Park, NY
With mother Nature only coming down in Clifton Park prior to game start the field was in a shaky condition. With hard work and manual labor by both teams the field was playable by 7:30. A special thank you to Josh Kean for running out and picking up some kittie litter and Mr. Rader for doing the same. After 2 innings the X-tribe lead 4-0. Cullen Vumbacco dropped a 3 run bomb in the bottom of the second to give the X-tribe a 4-0 and the way Demidio was dealing looked like it could have been enough for the W. At this point the clouds came in and fans took for their cars. In the bottom of the 2nd the clouds opened up and the rain began to fall hard. About 14 minutes would go by and the field would again be soaked. The umpires would call the game at that point. CDMABL rules state a game that is not considered a complete game after 5 innings will start fresh the next avaliable day. With that said the X-tibe and Canes will start game 2 fresh tomorrow at 7 pm at the Clifton Commons.
